Step 1: cut the sleeve shape out from the template. Then, place it on a sheet of foam paper, which colour is mentioned on the template.

Step 2: draw the contours of the shape with a pen and cut it out.

Step 3: follow the same steps for all 10 shapes.

Step 4: 2 round ones.

Step 5: 4 stripes.

Step 6: you should have these 10 shapes.

Step 7: use the glue gun to make the first sleeve. Glue the round piece in the middle of the sleeve and on top of it - the star.

Step 8: glue the 2 stripes on each side of the round piece.

Step 9: stick two hook and loop tape pieces on the sleeve to close it.

Step 10: repeat the same steps for the second sleeve.

Step 11: proceed to the collar in the same way as with the sleeves and cut out all the shapes (1 star, 1 round piece, 1 collar and 6 stripes).

Step 12: glue the black round piece in the centre of the collar and add the star on top of it. Glue all the 6 stripes from the edges towards the centre.

Step 13: trim the ends of the stripes that go over the edges.

Step 14: glue 2 pieces of hook and loop tape on the collar - one on the front and the other one on the back.

Today, let’s play dress-up!

We follow the trend of superheroes by making some of their accessories – a collar and two sleeves for your little superheroes!

Essentials

For this DIY, you will need:

a free printable A4 template to download below (girl or boy version)
4 foam sheets:
for the boy’s version, 2 green sheets, 1 black sheet and 1 yellow sheet
for the girl’s version, 2 purple sheets, 1 pink sheet and 1 white sheet
5 little pieces of self adhesive hook & loop tape
1 ballpoint pen
1 glue gun
and… 1 pair of scissors
